Tumblr Service Announcement
I like that you all are following me! Here’s the sitch: this domain (andyetanother) is the one that I started Tumblr with, and so it’s my “primary blog” in official terms. However, I use it pretty sporadically as, like, a personal record-keeper of stuff I’m using for projects. You are welcome to keep following. BUT! I use another domain (skrush) as my more active...

i broke ties with an old friend a few years back
And after some Facebook sleuthing, I get the impression that he is more hateful and set in his ways than ever. Being his friend when he was that sort of person was exhausting. At the time of our falling-out, I didn’t know quite why things were disintegrating and why I felt so strongly about not trying to put it all back together. My guess now is that God and my own instinct were combining...

"If We Hold On Together"
I just had what might have been the most spiritually comforting moment of my life, as I tearfully sang the song “If We Hold On Together” from The Land Before Time as my husband played along on the piano.

the girls of jersey shore
The girls of Jersey Shore play with their hair/eyelashes/eyebrows a lot. Seriously, watch an episode and pay attention. It is alarming.

my plan for getting out of the rut.
These are some goals. Ride my bike every day I’m able to do so, even if there’s no destination or purpose aside from the goodness of biking. Read the Book of Mormon every day. Go in to the office every day. Write a personal history, adding to it every day (hey, kinda like a journal). Find happiness in things that don’t cost money. Moisturize every day. Get back to the days...

the rut i'm currently in.
I have a really good job right now, with my own office, but it turns out that I really don’t need to GO to that office to work; I can work just as well at home. For the past several days, I’ve been lazy and stayed home, in pajamas sometimes (like now), getting uncomfortable back pains from just sprawling out on the couch. For hours. And the main reason this is a problem? Because...

I think I’m an oddity in that: watching birthing mothers in the all-out, thrashing pain of childbirth makes me want to have a baby whereas spending time with my beloved nieces and nephew, as much as I adore them and want to gobble them up sometimes, makes me not want to have a baby. … just some thoughts after watching the documentary “The Business of Being Born”.

Coulter Feasts on Gay Republicans at Homocon →
Ann Coulter gets a thumbs down from me, all the time, so this negative view of her is not super-enlightening, but the essay happens to have some valuable nuggets of fact regarding gay marriage.

– -St. Augustine (via justbesplendid) Really wish I had the original source on this one; I can’t say for sure that it comes from St. Augustine, but that’s the rumor. Anyhow, I love this quote for emphasizing the post-euphoria part of love, which I adore and am currently experiencing with...

i’m watching an episode of “Chuck,” and at first, it was cool how the car alarm that’s going off outside complemented the show’s plot. but now, it’s just plain old annoying.

Sorry if you’re following me and you suddenly have four hundred outfit pictures in your feed. Just trying to keep track of my thoughts and plans, things of note. But I see how it could get annoying real fast.

The blog would be called “Recreating Zara”, which is nice because it’s similar to my name (Zara, Sara - I actually wrote my name as “Zara” in preschool because writing the curvy part of the ‘S’ was too hard). But the real gist would be recreating outfits from Zara.com. Because, in short, I love them. All. This would not exclude the possibility of buying...

And a lot of it seems to be saying, “Why in the world does some crazy like Glenn Beck have this much influence in the U.S. consciousness?” And I’m like, “Maybe because nobody will shut up about him.” I admit the guy’s got some good qualities, like caring A LOT about the country and having a way of entertaining that lots of folks seem to love (though, personally,...

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookie(s)
Craig (who volunteered to pack my lunch for me while I finished getting ready): Do you want one cookie or two?
Me: Umm ... one.
(two hours later, as I'm finishing my one cookie way before lunchtime):
Me: Should've said two.
